Episode 2.10 - original airdate December 18, 2000
It's a Doc centered episode, so don't expect too much of Bobby, folks. Half way through the episode we see Carlos, Bobby and Kim walking together down the street. Bobby says that it feels like snow. Kim says that she hopes so because then they'd have white Christmas. Bobby says that he's going to do Christmas shopping with his mother in the morning and that the traffic is going to be crazy. Kim asks if they're going to the shopping mall and Bobby says that his mother is not doing her shopping anywhere else, because she can use the coupons there. Bobby and Kim seem to think it's funny that people shop at outlets and that Bobby's mom clips coupons. Carlos notes that the outlets have good prices on irregular items and Kim starts making fun of him.

Later on at the station, Alex tells Doc that Carlos called in sick. Kim asks Alex if she likes a sweater she picked up for her mother from a catalog. Kim says it's guaranteed delivery if you order before Dec. 23. Bobby appears, chewing on something, asking Alex if they're still on for Saturday night. She says yes and that it sounds like fun while Kim gives them a look.

At some bar the cops are sharing stories of stupid things they did as teens. Bosco shares his story of playing chicken with the trains. Bobby, who is there by some miracle, looks amused. Yokas isn't. "Congratulations Bosco," she says, "You overcame your instinct for survival by the sheer force of your stupidity." Alex comes up and asks what they're talking about. Stupid teenage tricks," tells her Bobby and he says he climbed the suspension cables on the Brooklyn Bridge and ads that he's never been so scared in his life. The rest of the gang share their stories, too. Ty says he jumped on the roofs of elevators and went up as high as 36 floor. Yokas says she's afraid of her kids growing up and doing stupid stuff like surf elevators. Kim says her kid already does. He jumped off the fridge and needs four stitches. "It's a miracle we survived," says Bobby, smiling. Sully gets asked if he did anything crazy as a young Sully. Sully doesn't want to share. Doc gets asked and Kim makes fun of him for being such a saint. "Come on, you must have done some crazy stuff, too," says Bobby, "Tells us about it." Doc gets up and makes a snarky comment about the Peace Corps and lepers. Obviously he doesn't wanna share and for the same of the next scene let me just mention that he's in some might bad bad mood lately.

We then cut to a building on fire. The gang are all there. Somebody from inside says there are victims in the building. The firefighters get inside. They find victims. Doc and Alex get inside and we hear Doc calling Bobby to follow them and then we hear Bobby yelling back, "Yeah," but we don't actually see Bobby, so I don't know if that counts.

Anyway. In the kitchen, Doc and Alex find a man. He is dead. "Anybody seen a woman?" Doc yells. We again hear Bobby, he's yelling that he's found a live victim. We then see him leaning over a woman in the hall, checking her breathing. They take her out on the open air and start working on her. Alex says they need to intubate. Bobby says he'll start an IV. Doc asks Bobby to hand him the laryngoscope and when Bobby does Alex grabs it out of his hand, pissing Doc off. He stands back and lets her work. Alex calls out that she needs suction and Bobby hands her one. She can't make it work and asks Bobby to turn it up. "It is up," says Bobby. Doc is watching. Alex can't intubate and the victim's pulse is falling. "Come on, we gotta bag her," says Bobby, urging Alex. She can't do it. Bobby tells Doc to get in there, but Doc refuses saying that Alex's got it. Bobby says that the woman's gonna go into cardiac arrest and Doc asks what the rate of her heart is. "Sixty," says Bobby and adds quickly, "Come on, Doc, come on!" He then asks Alex to let somebody else do the job. Doc says he'll come in when the vitals go below 50. Bobby yells that it's ridiculous. When the woman goes into fib, Doc finally jumps in. He tells Alex to get off. Again. Then he yells, "I said GET OFF!" She finally goes. Doc uses the paddles and asks Bobby for 200. She shocks the victim. "Still in fib," says Bobby and Doc asks for 300 and shocks the woman again. "Nothing," says Bobby. Doc asks for 300 and an epi and this time gets a pulse. Alex looks shaken.

Moment later Bobby and Doc load the victim onto the ambulance. Kim asks what happened. Bobby says that Doc was playing God again. Kim asks if he was promoted to sainthood by the big guy. "Why don't you two just shut up?" Doc asks. Kim asks what his problem is. Bobby shuts the ambulance's door, stops the Doc and says "You were out of line". He then walks away.

At the station, Doc arrives on his day off, because he was called in by the captain. Walking to the captain's office Doc passes by Bobby and Alex sitting in the chairs in front of a TV. They watch him passing by, without a word.

That's it, I hear.
